The HKMUN conference employs double delegation for all academic committees, namely:
(1) World Health Organization,
(2) Human Rights Council,
(3) Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee, and
(4) UN Development Programme.
Ideally, students should pair up for each committee which would mean a total of 8 for a standard team delegation representing one country. Otherwise, we encourage delegates to also apply in 2s, 4s, or 6s using the team application form. Individual delegates are also most welcomed although they will be put in a lower priority during the country assignments.

Important Notice of conference 2009

-The deadline for submitting position papers is on 11/1(Sun). Please send the position paper to

-All 4 committees in the HKMUN Conference 2009 have been changed to double delegation.

-If there are only 1-2 delegates in your team, please fill in the individual application form.

-If there is an odd number of delegates in group application, the single delegate will either be paired up with another delegate or remain a single delegate in a double delegation.

-The countries listed are subject to change

-The preliminary result of successful applicants would be announced by 22nd November, 2008

-After completing the delegates' application form, please send it to info@hkmunc.org.hk

2. Special arrangement for the selection of delegation
Team application will be given a higher priority in consideration than individual application during the selection process.

Fill in the application form according to the instruction and submit all necessary documents stated.

Step 2: Selection
An interview or other selection processes may be conducted.
Result of application will be released in due course.

Step 2: Write down your full name (as shown in your identity document), phone number, and "HKMUN Conference 2009” at the back of the receipt.
Step 3: Either fax the receipt to 27717691, or email the receipt to info@hkytsa.org.
Step 4: Call 2771 7621(Ms Ku) to confirm the transaction.

Reminder:Please be noted that only after you have made your payment your application is accepted and completed.

Step 4: Academic Preparation
You can now start to do research for the topic. We will inform you the country assignment as soon as possible.

Step 5: Local Training Workshop
You will need to attend the local training workshop/simulation to familiarize yourself with the rules and procedure unless previous experience in MUN conference is shown.

After handing in the application form, you will be notified of the result as soon as the selection procedure has completed.

You can also choose to pay the registration fee upon your arrival; however, an extra charge of US$8/delegate will be collected.

You can now start to do research of the topic. We will inform you the country assignment as soon as possible
You will need to book the air tickets, buy travel insurance (recommended) and apply for VISA (click to know more) yourself.

We also recommend you to plan your trip to Hong Kong so that you can thoroughly enjoy your stay in Hong Kong (click to know more).

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months prior to your arrival to Hong Kong.

All delegates are recommended to purchase their own travel insurance for the conference.
